After earning a degree in Forestry and Recreation Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin, Nick took his first wilderness therapy job in Utah. Nick started as a field staff, and throughout his 7 years working for that company, he took on roles in staff development, program leadership eventually becoming a field director. In 2014 Nick switched to the nonprofit world where he helped improve access to the outdoors to people from various backgrounds. He continued to grow as an industry leader in experiential, and adventure education before his love of wilderness therapy drew him back to the industry in early 2020.
Nick’s passion for the outdoors began when he was a child growing up in Wisconsin as he spent time outdoors camping, hunting and fishing with his Dad. When Nick is not working, you can find him snowboarding on the slopes, hiking through the forest, or camping with his wife and son.
